Ashley — CPT, CNC (NASM)
My fitness journey began with extreme low self-esteem. After leaving an abusive relationship and struggling with unhealthy habits, self-doubt, and low self-worth, I turned to movement and nutrition as my way forward. Over the past 10 years, fitness has not only rebuilt my body but also my confidence and mental health.
With a Bachelor of Commerce and certifications as a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) and Certified Nutrition Coach (CNC) through NASM, I combine evidence-based training with empathy and personal experience. I am passionate about helping people who feel stuck or overwhelmed find strength, resilience, and joy through sustainable fitness.
Rene — PTS (CanFitPro), Movement & Performance Specialist
I know firsthand what it means to face setbacks. Growing up as a heavier kid and later dealing with injuries such as a torn labrum and disc herniation, I understand the frustration of starting over. Those challenges became the foundation for my passion: helping others get stronger while moving safely and effectively.
With five years in the fitness industry and four years of personal training experience, I specialize in strength, performance, and corrective movement.
Our Story
The best part of our stories is how we came together. When we started our relationship, we became each other’s biggest supporters in life and in fitness. In 2024, we combined our experiences and expertise to create Rooted Resilience Fitness, a private training business designed to empower people to build lasting strength, confidence, and resilience without burnout.
We believe progress is not about perfection. It is about having the right support, the right plan, and the courage to keep going, no matter where you start.
